Bahrain has received the first shipment of iron from Turkey following a the signing of a memorandum by the Minister of Industry and Commerce with Turkish iron exporters, which included the sale of building materials, cement and iron to Bahraini suppliers at preferential prices. The first shipment totalled 16,500 tonnes and another shipment of 20,000 tonnes of iron is due to arrive soon, the Bahrain Tribune reported.
