Banque Du Caire plans 20% annual growth for portfolio

Mohamed Kafafi, vice chairman and CEO of Egypt's Banque Du Caire has said the lender plans to grow its overall portfolio by an average of 15% to 20% a year, the Daily News Egypt has reported. "In 2008...the bank's portfolio was EGP5.7bn and now we have EGP14bn — of which EGP12bn are cash. We are growing and we plan to grow even further," Kafafi told the daily. In August 2010, deposits stood at EGP911bn; up from EGP670bn a couple of years ago, he said.
