Batelco links final towns

Batelco will have connected every property in Bahrain to its broadband network by August 2008.

The country's monopoly fixed-line operator will spend $16 million connecting the final towns, which include Al-Jazaer, Al-Wadi, Awali and Sakhir, to the network, taking the total cost of the project to $57 million. Batelco will offer voice, data and video services over the new network.
