Indian mobile operator Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of wholesale data services for the Middle East, Reuters has reported. The company, which owns the i2i submarine cable system and is a consortium partner of the SEA-ME-WE 4 cable, has added over 17 gigabytes per second capacity to the region, and had made investments that connect the India-Middle East-Europe route via three alternative paths on SEA-ME-WE 4, I-ME-WE and EIG submarine cable systems.
