Bids due for 23 Marina

The bid closing date has been extended to mid-February for the main construction package on the 23 Marina tower project in Dubai Marina. The prospective bidders are: the local/ German Al-Rostamani Pegel; a joint venture (JV) of the local ETA Ascon and the local/Belgian Bel Hasa Six Construct; Oger Dubai, the local affiliate of Saudi Oger; a JV of South Korea's Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Company and the local Dubai Civil Engineering; and the local/Austrian Strabag Dubai. The 88-storey residential tower is being developed by Hircon International, a JV of the local ETA Star and India's A Hiranandani. India's Hafeez Contractor is the architect; the consultant is the local office of KEO International Consultants. Swissboring, part of Italy's Trevi Group, began piling works in September (MEED 16:12:05).
Bids are due to be submitted on 31 January, and not by mid-February, as reported in MEED of 13:1:06, for the main construction package on the 23 Marina tower project in Dubai Marina. The prospective bidders are: the local/German Al-Rostamani Pegel; a joint venture (JV) of the local ETA Ascon and the local/Belgian Bel Hasa Six Construct; Saudi Arabia-based El-Seif Engineering Contracting Company; a JV of South Korea's Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Company and the local Dubai Civil Engineering; and the local/Austrian Strabag Dubai. Oger Dubai, the local affiliate of Saudi Oger is not participating. (MEED 16:12:05).
