Bids due for new Adco project

05 July 2002

Technical bids are due to be returned by 9 July for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract covering the development of the Asab and Shah fields in Abu Dhabi emirate. The prospective bidders are Paris-based Technip- Coflexip, Italy's Snamprogetti, US-based Petrofac and the local National Petroleum Construction Company. Technip-Coflexip has carried out the front-end engineering and design (FEED) package for the scheme.

The estimated $30 million-35 million project calls for an upgrade of the existing facilities and the supply and installation of new units at the two onshore oil fields. The facilities, which include two liquid separators and a pipeline, will take about 14 months to be installed. The client is Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco).
