Bids due for new Interior Ministry HQ

Twelve companies are prequalified to submit bids by 27 July for a contract to build a new headquarters complex for the Interior Ministry on the sixth ring-road at north Sabahan.

Estimated to be worth KD 30 million ($100 million), the contract covers the construction of a seven-storey main administration building and four smaller buildings. The main building will have a built-up area of 87,000 square metres, while the complex will be built over 250,000 square metres. The facilities will take 30 months to complete.

The consultant is the local Industrial & Engineering Consulting Office (INCO). The client is the Ministry of Public Works.
