Abu Dhabi Municipality has received bids from eight local companies for the 18-month contract to widen the road between the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway and Al-Abjan and the dualling of the road between Al-Ajban and Sweihan.
Bin Hafeez General Contracting & Transport Establishment is the low bidder with a price of AED 226 mn ($62 mn). Their price is 19 per cent lower than the price of AED 269 mn ($73 mn) submitted by Rapco Roads & General Contracting Projects and Delma Engineering Projects Company.
The other bidders are Ghantoot Transport & General Contracting at AED 289 mn ($79 mn), Al-Muhairy General Contracting Company at AED 293 mn ($80 mn), Saif bin Darwish at AED 314 mn ($86 mn), Copri Construction Enterprises at AED 334 mn ($91 mn), Al-Jaber Group at AED 360 mn ($98 mn) and Al-Geemi & Partners Contracting Company at AED 440 mn ($120 mn).
