Bids in for cruise terminal

The local Bogest Trading & Contracting Companyis low bidder at RO 1.3 million ($3 million) for the contract to build a cruise ship terminal complex at Mina Qaboos in Muscat. Four other local contractors bid for the work, with prices ranging up to RO 1.5 million ($4 million). The contract covers the construction of a two-storey building, located at berth 6, which will incorporate a control tower and a reception hall covering an area of 2,678 square metres. Egypt's Arabian Engineering Bureau is the consultant for the scheme; the Transport & Communications Ministry is the client (MEED 15:8:03).
