Saudi Electricity Company (SEC)has started evaluating bids for a further expansion of Riyadh's PP9 power station.
Saudi Electricity Company (SEC)has started evaluating bids for a further expansion of Riyadh's PP9 power station. The bidders for the 1,200-MW expansion, estimated to be worth $700 million, are the local Arabian Bemco Contracting, with Germany's Siemens, the US' General Electricand the local National Contracting Company. Arabian Bemco is already on site at PP9, having been awarded in May the contract for the ultra fast-track 480-MW expansion of the station (MEED 23:7:04).
