Bids in for two university contracts in Saudi Arabia

Bids have been submitted for construction work at two universities in the kingdom, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and Al-Imam Mohamed Ibn Saud Islamic Unviversity in Riyadh.

The contract for the Jeddah project involves the construction of two buildings on the university campus and is valued at approximately SR120m ($32m).The client is the King Abdluaziz University.

An award is expected in June. The local Al-Redwan Trading & Contracting is one of the bidders for the work.

Al-Redwan is also bidding for work at the Al-Imam University in Riyadh.

The scope covers the construction of a women's college and an adjacent car park. The value of the contract is estimated to be SR400m. An award will be made in June. The Ministry of Education is the client.
