Contractors to submit bids by 16 August
Algeria’s Société Algérienne de Production de l’Electricité (SPE) has invited companies to bid by 16 August for the contract to build a 400MW power plant at Messerghine.
The winning bidder will construct two 200MW generation units. The contract includes the design, engineering, equipment acquisition, installation, start up and operation of the plant.
The tender will be managed on behalf of SPE by Compagnie de l’Engineering de l’Electricite du Gaz (Ceeg), a subsidiary of local energy company Sonelgaz.
It will evaluate the bids in two phases. The commercial proposals will be evaluated after the technical bids have been evaluated.
Ceeg is also running another tender for the construction of two more power plants in the east of the country at Ain Djasser in the Batna region and at F’Kirina in the Oum al-Bouaghi region.
