Twenty local contractors have been invited to bid by 22 January for a contract to build and maintain an infrastructure network for a new residential area in the Maseela district. Under the terms of the estimated KD 8 million-9 million ($28 million-31 million) contract, the selected contractor will build roads, mosques, street lights and stormwater drainage and sewerage networks. Construction will take about 30 months. The client on the project is the Ministry of Public Works.
