The bidders include Australia's WorleyParsons, the US/Canadian VECO and US-based Foster Wheeler(MEED 15:4:05).

The facilities will take 20 months to install. Austria's ILF Consultinghas carried out the front-end engineering and design (FEED) work.

Jebel Dhanna is the main oil export terminal for onshore production, where more on-site work is planned. A contract award is due for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract on the tank farm facility upgrade project, for which bids are under evaluation at Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco).

The local Target Engineering Construction Companyis the low bidder at AED 248.5 million ($68 million) for the contract, which calls for the supply and installation of new pipelines and the replacement of existing line pipe, installation of valves and fire-fighting systems, instrumentation works and civils.

The other bidders for the contract, expected to take up to two years to complete, are India's Punj Lloyd, Lebanon's Contracting & Trading (CAT)and Pakistan's Descon Engineering(MEED 15:4:05).

The local Pan-Emirates Engineering has carried out the detailed engineering work; the UK's Mott MacDonaldundertook a preliminary study for the proposed scheme. The successful PMC bidder on the new storage tanks project will also oversee construction work of the facility upgrade scheme.
