Two companies have submitted bids for road improvement works in Kuwait.
The project covers the construction and maintenance of the airport road tunnel from the crossroads with the fourth ring road to Jamal Abdul Nasser Street.
Combined Group Company for Trading & Contracting (CGC), and United Gulf Construction Company (UGCC), both local, submitted bids. Combined Group is the low bidder with KD8.7m ($32m).
The scope of works includes a box-culvert construction, dewatering, backfilling and temporary road construction.
The Ministry of Public Works is the client.
Bids were also submitted for work on the Mohammed bin Qassim road tunnel, from the crossroads with the fourth ring road to Jamal Abdul Nasser street. The local Alghanim International General Trading & Contracting is the low bidder with a bid of KD9.2m (MEED 04:09:08).
