Bids submitted for work on Bahrain's National Assembly

Two companies have bid for construction work on the National Assembly building in Bahrain.

The local Ahmed Mansoor al-Aali and Al-Hasanain Company submitted two sets of bids each for the design and build contract, which is for the filling and sea walls for the building.

It is expected to be awarded in the next three months and the work will take up to 10 months to complete.

Al-Hasanain is the low bidder for both options, with bids of BD33.8m ($89m) and BD37m compared to Ahmed Mansoor al-Aali’s bids of BD35.3m and BD54.9m

The Ministry of Works is the client.

Ahmed Mansoor al-Aali recently won an infrastructure contract on the Bahrain Bay development.

The work includes road works, establishing a water supply and general infrastructure maintenance. The company was low-bidder for the contract, with a price of BD27m. Three other firms bid for the work (MEED 31:1:08).
