Boeing Q1 profits fall 50%

Boeing has announced that Q1 earnings fell by 50%, short of analyst forecasts. CEO Jim McNerney told analysts that during the first quarter, carriers asked for later delivery dates for about 60 aircraft that were due to roll off the group's assembly lines. Net income was $610m, down from the year-ago quarter's $1.21bn.
