A prolonged strike by Boeing workers could further delay the debut of the US-manufacturer's aircraft in the fourth quarter 2008 and impact on-time deliveries to Gulf airlines, reported Khaleej Times. The on-going strike by more than 27,000 workers halted Boeing's production lines for the 737, 747, 777 as well as the 787 Dreamliner aircraft, most of which are integral to Gulf carriers' fast expansion goals. Four 777 aircraft are due for delivery to Emirates, and another 777 is meant for Qatar Airways.
