The UK’s Amec has won an engineering and project management services contract from BP Sharjah, a subsidiary of the UK energy giant BP, for the company’s onshore gas facilities at Sharjah in the UAE.
The contract includes engineering studies, front-end engineering and design (FEED) and detailed design, project management and construction management for BP Sharjah’s assets including the Kahaif, Moveyid and Sajaa gas fields and the Sajaa gas plant.
The contract will last for two years, starting on 14 April, with options for two one-year extensions.
It follows a number of similar contracts signed by Amec and BP Sharjah.
The two have yet to disclose the value of the contract.
