BP invites expressions of interest for Khazzan construction project

Contract covers construction of operating base and residential complex

UK-based energy group BP is seeking an expression of interest (EOI) from companies for a contract involving the construction of an operating base and residential complex for the Khazzan tight gas project in the central northern region of Oman. 

The work r the construction of the Khazzan Operating Base and Khazzan Residential Complex (KOB and KRC). The operating base will be the main administrative and industrial area for BP on Block 61. It will provide support to the central processing facility (CPF) and production facilities onsite throughout their field life. The base is intended to be a fully secured area and will be located at a safe working distance from the CPF complex.

The residential complex will be located about 3 kilometres southeast of the CPF. It will be designed to accommodate 450 personnel at any given time. The work also includes constructing minor buildings such as a fire station and fuel services station in the vicinity of the proposed CPF.

Contractors wishing to receive an EOI for this scheme must respond to khazzanpscm@uk.bp.com by 12:00 pm UK time on 31 October, with contact details of a company representative able to deliver a response through BP’s sourcing system, Ariba OneSource. The contact details required are:
