Cabinet to evaluate departments' plans

12 December 2007
The UAE’s cabinet will hold an extraordinary session before Eid to evaluate the strategic plans set by the federal government departments.

The three-day retreat, which will begin on 13 December, will review in detail 26 strategic plans submitted to the Cabinet in November.

Department heads will present their strategies, programmes and deadlines.

Organised in an informal setting, the meeting will be the third in a series of retreats held by the government.

Chaired by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minster and Ruler of Dubai, the first meeting was held at the Bab al-Shams resort in mid-February and resulted in cabinet ministers putting the final touches to the government’s strategy.

The second Cabinet retreat at Fujairah in July, also chaired by Sheikh Mohammed, reviewed individual ministries' progress towards the February strategy.
