Indian contractor completes desalination plants in Egypt, Iraq and Oman
India’s Canadian Clear Water has completed work on three reverse osmosis desalination projects worth $20m in Egypt, Oman and Iraq.
The plants will help meet growing demand for water in the industrial sector and drinking water.
The company’s plant in Egypt has has capacity for 2.2 million gallons a day (g/d) of desalinated water. A second plant in Iraq produces 4.4 million g/d of water and a third reverse osmosis plant in Oman has capacity for 660,000 g/d of desalinated water.
Canadian Clear Water designed, manufactured, supplied, constructed and commissioned the plants on a turnkey basis. Canadian Clear Water’s parent company, Shivsu Canadian Clear Water International, will carry out the operation and maintenance of the plants.
