The local/Lebanon Saudi Arabian Construction Company has been awarded a SR2bn ($532m) construction contract for Lamar Towers in Jeddah.
The project consists of two towers on the corniche, one will be 60 floors and the other will be 68 floors, linked by a 13-floor commercial space. The taller tower is expected to reach 310 metres in height.
The UAE’s Cayan Investment & Development company is the client.
US-based Turner Construction is the project manager.
The companies originally prequalified for the work included the local El-Seif and Saudi Binladin Group, South-Korea's Samwhan Corporation, Dubai-based Arabtec, and Athens-based CCC (MEED 1:4:08).
