Athens-based Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC)has received a letter of intent for the main construction subcontract on the largest element of the Qatif incremental oil and associated gas project. The client for the estimated $175 million contract is Italy's Snamprogetti, which won in February the $630 million package for the construction of two gas/oil separation plants (GOSPs) and associated facilities (MEED 8:3:02).
CCC's contract, which is for completion in 30 months, involves the civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and manifold work on the project. Snamprogetti bid the GOSP package without a nominated contractor.
Saudi Aramcoawarded five contracts on the estimated $1,200 million Qatif development. The other main awards, signed in March, went to Paris-based Technip-Coflexip, the US' Arabian CBI, the Netherlands' Suedrohrbauand the local Contracting & Construction Enterprises.
