US consultancy will carry out design and feasibility studies for Sarooj-Sanaiya project
The Al-Ain Municipality has awarded a contract to US consultancy CH2M Hill for the feasibility studies and concept design of a dual carriageway between Sarooj and Sanaiya.
The work involves carrying out a study on an alternative route between the Sarooj and Sanaiya areas, north of the city centre of Al-Ain in the Abu Dhabi emirate, to reduce the commuting time between them. It will look at improving the connectivity to adjacent centres and onward connections to the Omani border.
The work will also include providing feasibility studies on complex mountain and wadi crossing structures.
CH2M Hill subsidiary Halcrow has previously worked on the design of a $38m underpass at the Sultan bin Khalifa roundabout in the city of Al-Ain.
