Chaos at Muscat airport, 200 strike over leave and allowances

21 March 2012

Several flights have been delayed at Muscat International Airport (MIA), following a flash strike by at least 200 ground services department staff demanding extra allowances and leave, Muscat Daily has reported. The striking workers included baggage handlers and drivers. "It was a bit chaotic and even some of the counter staff joined the strike," the official said.
