Wison Engineering to wins deal to expand ethylene plant
Chinas Wison Engineering has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract on the expansion of an ethylene plant in western Abu Dhabi.
The company did not disclose the client, describing the company as a leading provider of innovative, value-creating plastic solutions.
The only large ethylene producer based in western Abu Dhabi, is Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge), which has major operations in Ruwais.
Wison Engineering has broken ground on the project and is aiming to mechanically complete the scheme by October 2017.
Wison Engineering said the award signals its breakthrough into the core Middle East market. It has established a project execution centre and set up a local design, procurement and project management team in Abu Dhabi.
