US networking giant Cisco has reached a deal to acquire Britain-based digital video company NDS Group for approximately $5bn, Reuters has reported. In its biggest acquisition since it bought Norway's videoconferencing company Tandberg for $3.3bn in 2009, the San Jose, California-based Cisco said the acquisition of NDS will accelerate the delivery of its Videoscape entertainment platform.
