France's export credit agency COFACE has produced an assessment of political risks for foreign investors in Middle East countries. Most states, with the exception of Iran, Libya and Syria, are rated as good short-term risks. In the medium-term, Algeria and Yemen join the highest- risk category, with Tunisia and the GCC states - especially the UAE and Bahrain - at the lowest. Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Turkey fall in between.
