Abu Dhabi Refining Company pushes back cut-off date to 26 June
Abu Dhabi Refining Company (Takreer) has extended the deadline for commercial bids on a flare gas recovery system at its Ruwais refinery.
The deadline for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) offers has been delayed to 26 June from a previous cut-off date of 31 May, according to a company active on the project.
The estimated $150m scheme is designed to reduce the volume of gas flared in the emirate, as well as improve environmental quality by reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide. The facility will also increase domestic natural gas supplies.
Companies submitting technical bids on 13 May included Switzerland’s ABB, Beijing-based China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), French group Litwin, and Indian contractors Essar Engineering Services and Punj Lloyd.
