22 October 2008
The Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu has awarded an earthworks contract to the local Saad Sahmi al-Hajri & Partner Company For Contracting, valued at more than SR100m ($27m).

The contract covers general ground preparation and earth shifting for a three-and-a-half-year period. It was awarded at the beginning of October.

The work will be carried out on the third phase of Jubail 2, an industrial development which covers approximately 10 square kilometres.

Jubail Two is the extension to Jubail Industrial City, in the Eastern province, and will double the area available for industrial users at the site.
