Local developer Emaar Properties has received expressions of interest from contractors for the construction of a Rove hotel next to the Dubai Expo Site.

Emaar was earlier planning to build two Rove-branded hotels as part of contract to build the Project Star retail development, for which the UK’s Laing O’Rourke was selected for in October last year.

The hotels were removed from the contract this year as it was downsized, retendered, and awarded to the local Arabtec Construction.

Emaar is also tendering two pavilions at the Expo site. It has received bids from contractors for the contract to build the Mobility Pavilion and is tendering the contract to build the Sustainability Pavilion at the Expo site.
