Construction work starts on $70m Bahrain real estate development

Jeyoun project is scheduled for completion in 2012

Construction work has started on a BD26.5m ($70.3m) mixed-use development in Abu Gowa, close to Manama, Bahrain.

The Jeyoun project is being developed by Kuwait-based Alargan International Real Estate Company.

The development will cover an area of 37,803 square metres and is planned to include 82 residential units, and a commercial and retail section containing shops and restaurants, according to Fauzia al-Khanjari, general manager, Alargan Bahrain.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2012.
