Firms to submit expressions of interest by 11 November
Iraq’s Electricity Ministry has invited consultants to express interest in advising on environmental and social aspects of an existing power project at Al-Hartha.
Units 2 and 3 of the Al-Hartha power plant are to be rehabilitated as part of an emergency electricity reconstruction project.
The winning bidder will advise on the reconstruction project, which aims to add an additional 400MW capacity to the project.
The World Bank will provide finance for the management plan. The World Bank has said that the aim of the rehabilitation is to address the long-term generation, transmission and distribution reliability of the project instead of short-term goals.
Consultants have until 11 November to submit expressions of interest.
