Arabian Construction Company wins high-rise contract

Lebanon’s Arabian Construction Company (ACC) has been selected for the estimated AED1.5bn ($408m) contract to build the 618-metre tall Pentominium tower in Dubai Marina.

The 48-month contract involves the construction of a 120-storey residential tower, with facilities on the upper floors such as a swimming pool, business centre, observation deck, health clubs, cigar lounge, banqueting hall and private theatre.

Swissboring, part of Italy’s Trevi Group is working on the piling package. The Hong Kong office of Aedas is the architect. UK-based Hyder Consulting is the engineering consultant.

Hong Kong-based Trident International Holdings is the client. It is Trident’s third project at the Marina, following The Waterfront and the Trident Grand Residence tower.

Trident has previously been in negotiations with Hong Kong-based CSHK Dubai Contracting and Turkey’s TAV for the contract (MEED 27:6:08).
