Contractors approached for Abu Dhabi bank headquarters

28 September 2008
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has invited selected contractors to prequalify for the shell and core construction package on its new headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Located on the old Airport Road next to Zayed Sport City, the project involves the construction of two 12-storey towers connected by an atrium and a four-level basement.

The shell and core package includes civil, building and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works. The enabling works has already been awarded as a separate package.

Tenders are expected in December, with an award in early March next year.

Australia’s Bovis Lend Lease is the project manager.
