Scheme involves building apartment blocks and villas
The local National Investment Corporation (NIC) has invited contractors to express interest in building a new real estate development in Abu Dhabi close to Marina Mall.
Known as the Abu Dhabi Marina City project, the scheme involves building four eight-storey apartment buildings with a total of 210 high-end units, 67 villas and all associated infrastructure such as roads and landscaping. The plot covers an area of 174,000 square metres.
It is the second project that NIC has approached contractors for this year. In May, companies submitted prequalification documents for the contract to build the Fairmont hotel development in Abu Dhabi.
The project manager for the Fairmont is Australia’s Confluence. The cost and contracts consultant is the local Williams International Group. The design consultant and architect of record is the local Dewan Architects & Engineers. The construction supervision consultant is Lebanon’s Khatib & Alami.
Contractors have been approached for the Fairmont project several times over the past seven years, although it has now been redesigned.
