Wastewater plant will be located in the central Iranian city of Birjand
Irans Southern Khorasan Water & Wastewater Company (SKWWC) has invited companies to prequalify for the contract to build a wastewater treatment plant in Birjand city, located in the South Khorasan province in the centre of the Islamic Republic.
Companies have until 21 August to submit prequalification documents for the project. The work will involve the design, supply of materials and construction of the expansion of the Birjand wastewater plant. The contract will also involve the installation of a 9.5-kilometre transmission line for the plant.
The expansion of the plant will increase the plants capacity to 540 litres a second. The project is being financed by the Economic Cooperation and Organisation (ECO) Trade & Development Bank.
