Oil major seeks prices for maintenance and rehabilitation of two pipelines
Contractors are preparing to submit bids to Saudi Aramco by early September for the rehabilitation and maintenance of two pipelines, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Firms will submit proposals for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deal for the project called Pipelines Rehabilitation 2016.
The scope of work involves maintaining and rehabilitating a 150-kilometre-long pipeline from the Safaniya area to the Berri gas plant, while the other pipeline is a 37-kilometre stretch ending at the Qatif junction, according to the sources.
The project value, tender issue date and the number of EPC contractors invited to bid for the deal is not yet clear.
