Offshore fields works bids deadline set for 17 October
Contractors are preparing to submit bids on 17 October for an early works package at the offshore Satah al-Razboot (Sarb) field. Seven companies have prequalified for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.
The companies include:
- Archirodon Construction (Greece)
- Hyundai Engineering & Construction (South Korea)
- Jan de Nul (Netherlands)
- Overseas Ast (UAE)
- Six Construct (Belgium)
- Target Engineering (local)
The scope of work encompasses earth works to prepare for the subsequent construction of an oil receiving and processing plant on nearby Zirku island.
The Sarb full field development includes the construction of two artificial islands, and the drilling of 86 wells, 51 oil producer, 19 water injectors and 13 water injectors and three gas producers.
