Doha Metro contract is for work on Red Line South
Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has received bids from contractors for the contract to build the elevated sections of the Red Line South line of Doha Metro.
The package involves building sections of track, stations and a depot.
In late May and early June, Qatar Rail awarded construction deals for underground sections and two stations totalling QR20bn ($5.4bn). Those contracts cover work on the Red Line, Green Line and two major stations at Msheireb and Education City. An award for the Gold Line underground sections has yet to be made.
