Contractors submit bids for Kuwait road network

A total of 11 companies have submitted bids for the construction of a road network in Kuwait’s south and southeast oil fields.

Kuwait Systems for General Trading & Contracting is the low bidder for the contract, with a price of KD11.6m ($43m). United Gulf Construction Company, also local, submitted the second-lowest bid of KD12.6m. The third-lowest bid of KD13.6m was submitted by the local Boodai Corporation submitted.

The client is Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).

KOC has also tendered a maintenance service contract for the road network. The local Sai General Trading & Contracting is the low bidder with a price of KD4.2m. Kharafi National and Kuwait Systems, both local, also bid for the work.

Last month, KOC awarded a KD31.6m contract to the US’ Process Unlimited to produce substantial amounts of crude and associated gas under a five-year build-operate model (MEED 24:04:08).
