Cybarco bids low for Seef road job

The local/Cypriot Cybarco Bahrain, with Malaysia's WCT, has submitted the lowest bid, at BD 11.2 million ($29.4 million), for the contract to expand the main Seef arterial road and flyover north of Manama. Bids ranged up to BD 17 million ($44.7 million).

The other bidders are the local Ahmed Mansoor al-Aali, Belgium's Six Construct; the UK's Wade Adams, Egypt's Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Company), Saudi Arabia's Al-Harbi Contracting, and the local AA Nass Contracting, with South Africa's Murray & Roberts Contractors (Middle East).

The project is intended to relieve the flow of traffic along the main highway that serves a number of malls and shopping developments in the area. The US' Parsons GlobalServicesis the consultant. The Works Ministry is the client (MEED 21:6:02).
