South Korean contractor awards US firm contract for Takreeer storage tank project
South Korea’s Daewoo Engineering & Construction has awarded a contract worth over $40m to the US’ Chicago Bridge and Iron Company (CB&I) for a storage tank project in Abu Dhabi.
The project is being carried out for the Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) at its terminal facility at Mussafah in the UAE.
The scope of works for CB&I includes the supply and installation of various storage tanks as part of Takreer’s Inter Refinery Pipeline Expansion project (IRP phase II).
The IRP Phase II will see the enhancement of jet fuel distribution to airports in the UAE through a pipeline.
