Local developer Damac Properties has awarded Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Company (Efeco) a AED424m ($116m) contract for mechanical, electrical and plumbing works at its Akoya Oxygen development in Dubai.
The contract covers work on three clusters within the Akoya Oxygen development. They are 329 units in Mimosa, 419 units in Basswood and 168 units in Amazonia. Altogether, the three clusters have a built-up area of approximately 148,000 square metres, and will take less than two years to complete.
Efeco is a subsidiary the local Arabtec, which was awarded a AED628m contract by Damac in 2017 for the construction of 1,296 villas. Damac also awarded another AED350m of construction contracts last year for roads and main works taking the total value of contracts awarded for Akoya Oxygen since August 2017 to AED 1.4bn.
