Local developer Dubai Properties, part of Dubai Holding, has awarded two contracts totalling AED 1,850 million ($502 million) on its staff accommodation development in Al-Quoz. The project involves the construction of 32 eight-nine-storey residential buildings (MEED 10:2:06).

The larger of the two contracts, worth an estimated AED 1,250 million ($340 million), has been awarded to the local Dubai Civil Engineering (DCE). The contract calls for the construction of 20 buildings.

The second contract, worth an estimated AED 600 million ($160 million), has been awarded to the local Ginco Contracting and entails the construction of 12 buildings.

The local office of KEO International Consultants is the consultant for the buildings, and US-based Parsons International is the infrastructure consultant. The local Empower, also part of Dubai Holding, will provide district cooling for the scheme.
