Saudi Aramco joint venture sets October 19 closing date
Saudi Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical have extended the bid deadline for some of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) packages on its $5bn phase II expansion.
The original deadline of October 1 has now been extended to October 19 for the main process plant packages, as well as one of the utilities packages.
Aramco and Sumitomo plan to process an additional 30 million cubic feet a year of ethane and 3 million tonnes a year of naphtha after the expansion, which will provide the feedstock for chemical production.
