Local contractor to finish work by 2011
Dubai-based contractor Depa has won a AED207m ($56m) contract to fit out the interior of the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.
Depa will fit out all 500 guest rooms and suites, as well as lobbies, lounges, two ballrooms, 11 meeting rooms and a business centre. The contractor will finish the work by mid-2011.
A local joint venture of Arabtec Construction and Dubai Contracting Company won the AED1bn ($272m) contract to build the Conrad Hotel in July 2007 (MEED 20:7:09).
The client is Abu Dhabi’s Private Property Management and the consultant is the US’ Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart (MEED 8:6:07).
