Front-end engineering and design for Oman petrochemicals project delivered within 12 months
Oman Oil Refineries & Petroleum Industries Company (Orpic) has finalised the front-end engineering and design (feed) study for its $3.6bn Liwa Plastics petrochemicals complex.
The study was carried out by US group CB&I and is now ready to be submitted to the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies prequalified to bid for the projects four packages.
The EPC contracts are expected to be awarded in the fourth quarter of 2015.
CB&I won the feed study in March 2014, while the project management consultancy (PMC) deal was awarded to Engineers India Limited.
