Local developer Katara Hospitality is evaluating bids from contractors for the contract to build a $500m twin-tower hotel project.
The bidders competing for the contract are understood to include:
- Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC – Lebanon)
- Construction Development Company (CDC – local)
- HBK Contracting (local)
- Midmac Contracting Company (local)
- Redco Almana (local)
- Shapoorji Pallonji (India)
- Urbacon Trading & Contracting Company (local)
The Katara Towers project is being built in the Lusail City area to the north of Doha and will be part of the Lusail Marina Iconic Development.
The 270,000-square-metre project includes residential, office and hospitality space.
The towers will be made up of a five and six star hotel and residences.
Lebanon’s Dar al-Handasah is the consultant.
